Illustration creates an image to communicate a message or an idea. Illustrations can tell you what is happening. Cartoons normally refer to an illustration or a series of illustrations. Cartoons can tell you how people are feeling. Comic consists of comic art in the form of sequentially arranged panels that describe individual scenes. Animations are videos. This means they can do all a comic does, and possibly be even more immersive.
